I am a north Seattle native and have always loved the Greater Seattle area for its diverse neighborhoods, architectural styles and varied recreational opportunities. As a skier, scuba diver, sailor and backpacker, I relish the natural wonders this area has to offer - from the heights of the Cascade & Olympic Mountain ranges to the shimmering waters of Puget Sound. The obvious outdoor enthusiast, I am especially excited about "Green" design (the major architectural movement of our time), which promotes principles of sustainable development.
After earning my degree at the University of Washington, I chose to work in the real estate industry because of my background in event management. While attending college, I successfully worked for many years as an event coordinator for a local non-profit. Coordinating an event involves: Taking as much time as needed to ascertain the client's needs, desires & budget; research; establishing relationships in the community & drawing upon those relationships when needed; planning for the expected; having a contingency plan for when the unexpected arises; communicating the plans to all individuals involved; and listening to feedback. Managing a real estate transaction is much the same - with a successful closing as the goal (event) to plan for.
